Job Summary:
The
Information Technology Senior Scientist will
be responsible for analyzing complex
application, network, and management
systems, including planning, designing,
evaluating, selecting cyber security
systems and suites. He/She will provide
sound leadership in the development of
solutions through interaction with
customer leadership and technical
personnel.

The
Information Technology Senior Scientist will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Manage
solutions development efforts and
provide leadership to technical
engineers and development personnel
to support customer and operating
group requirements
-
Provide sound advice in analysis of
alternatives, design and
implementation plans and
recommendations supported by strong
research skills and provided through
strong communication skills
-
Support acquisition of hardware and
software as well as subcontractor
services
-
Participate in decision making
regarding priorities and provide
information on feasibility of
prospective projects
-
Plan
schedule and establish daily or
weekly activities necessary to meet
project timetable
-
Support industry organizations and
prepare reports and papers of
completed projects for publication
in technical journals or
presentation at conferences
-
Train
and provide guidance to less
experienced staff
-
Represent the organization's
technical security interests with
partners, suppliers, industry
associations, and government
entities to ensure the
bi-directional flow of technical
information and best practices in
the area of information security.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Information Technology Senior
Scientist Job

Experience in the management of
security control capabilities within
large, complex Federal or commercial
architectures
-
Capable
of obtaining a Secret security
clearance
Experience in modeling of security
controls and integration of quality
management processes into technical
development efforts
Experience in implementing and
managing industry standard quality
assurance and management
methodologies (CMMI, ITIL, ISO 9001,
ISO 27001, etc.) in a production
environment.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For

Bachelor's degree (in Computer
Science or related field) or
equivalent, and 16+ years of related
(progressively responsible network
systems engineering) experience

Master's degree in Computer Science
-
Maintain one or more
security-specific certifications (CISSP,
CISA, etc.).
