Information Technology - Information Systems Security Officer Job Description

 

 

 

Job Description:

The Information Technology - Information Systems Security Officer will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Perform administration and support of the information systems security program as defined by Company and in accordance with the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM).

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Information Technology - Information Systems Security Officer Job

  • Technical experience working with Windows operating systems; configuration of security and auditing settings; installation of software, patches and service packs
  • Knowledgeable of Defense Security Service (DSS), and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes
  • Understanding of the NISPOM Chapter 8 requirements
  • Experience developing and maintaining IS security plans, policy, and procedures for Stand alone and Local Area Network Information Systems
  • Troubleshoot and investigate information system security violations and prepare reports to include corrective actions for deficiencies
  • Provide briefing and training to other ISSO’s to ensure they receive the necessary technical and security training to carry out their duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned and provide administrative and customer service support to staff and clients utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 2 - 5 years of relevant experience.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Information Technology - Information Systems Security Officer Job

  •  Associates Degree or Equivalent Experience.
