Job Summary:
The
Information Technology Engineer will
be responsible for assisting with the
implementation of tools and processes
associated with Enterprise Product Data
Management (EPDM) across multiple
locations.
Job
Description:
The
Information Technology Engineer will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Define
and validate requirements for new and
revised engineering computing hardware
and software
-
Research,
develop, analyze, design and test
software systems using engineering and
scientific principles
-
Perform
trade studies and other forms of
analysis to formulate optimum solutions
for users
-
Develop
and deploy new or revised processes in
support of new computing systems,
programs, projects, and integrated
product teams, including documentation
and training
-
Document
requirements for interfaces between
applications to support integration
activity
Assist in
drawing and procurement documentation
quality
Assist in
preparation of business cases for new
technology
Troubleshoot user problems related to
hardware, software or processes
Develop
system integration strategies and
architectures that promote use of common
tools and processes
Facilitate integration of new
technologies and the transition from
legacy systems to support business
requirements
Facilitate and coordinate activities
with internal and external customers,
vendors and suppliers (COTS providers,
sub-contractors)
Work
under close supervision and will be
mentored by multiple senior technical
group members.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Information Technology Engineer Job

Classroom or work-related experience
with software programming tools such
as Java or other 4GL's
-
Classroom or work-related experience
with Microsoft SQL or Access data
bases
-
Experience using process flow,
process diagrams, and process
comprehension
-
Knowledge of software and hardware
engineering processes and webpage
design and implementation
-
Willingness to work flexible hours
when job duties and delivery
schedules dictate.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Information Technology Engineer Job

Bachelor,
Master or Doctorate of Science degree
from an accredited course of study, in
engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET
is the preferred, although not required,
accreditation standard.
