Site Database Analyst Job Description
Job Summary:
The
Information Technology - Contractor Site
Database Analyst will be responsible for
defining and administering database
organizations, standards, controls,
procedures, and documentation. He/She
will provide experienced technical
consulting in the definition, design,
and creation of a database environment.
The
Information Technology - Contractor Site
Database Analyst will also advise
applications development staff and users
on data base solutions to business
problems, data architectures, database
management system facilities and
capabilities, and the operation and
tuning of databases.

Description:
The
Information Technology - Contractor Site
Database Analyst will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
Design,
implement and maintain moderately
complex databases, access methods,
access time, device allocation,
validation checks, organization,
protection and security, documentation
and statistical methods
Develop
and maintain expertise in use of
automated tools for database design and
implementation
Participate in the design and
maintenance of logical and physical data
models (relational & dimensional), data
dictionary and database volumetrics
Consult
on applications development staff and
users on database solutions to business
problems, data architectures, data base
management system facilities and
capabilities, and the operation and
tuning of databases
Work to
define file organization, indexing
methods, and security procedures for
specific user applications
Maintain
database dictionaries, monitor standards
and procedures and integration of
systems through database design
Maintain
accurate and up-to-date knowledge of
database information and requirements
for maximizing database potential
Provide
assistance to various clients as
required for database design,
implementation, and troubleshooting
Maintain
standards and documentation
Assist
senior database analyst staff in the
identification and resolution of
production and/or applications
Assist in
analysis and design activities
associated with the development and
maintenance of the database
Provide
advice and guidance to less experienced
staff.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill

Site Database Analyst Job
Familiarity with SBX
Experience working onboard or in
support of sea vessel programs
Ability to work on computer for long
periods and communicate with
individuals by telephone email and
face to face
Ability to travel, if required
Experience with design, develop and
implementation, Support and
maintenance, Obsolescence.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Information Technology - Contractor Site
Database Analyst Job
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and
five to seven years of related
experience.
