Job Summary:
The
Information Technology Business Analyst will
partner with the business to analyze
business requirements and
review/produce/clarify specifications
for any new solutions or changes to
technology applications. He/She will
work with development and design teams
to ensure that they understand the
specifications.
The
IT Business Analyst will conduct
business process modeling and generate
applicable scenarios for the
functionality and integration testing.

The
Information Technology Business Analyst will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Document
existing business projects, processes
and procedures

Assist
technical experts with documentation of
projects
-
Assist
technical experts with documentation of
technology components
-
Work with
client management to identify and
specify application requirements
-
Formulate
logical statements of application system
requirements
-
Understand business process management
and business requirements of the
customers and translate them to specific
software requirements
-
Write
user requirements documentation
-
Attend
meetings and take minutes
-
Effectively communicate with internal
teams to deliver functional requirements
-
Follow up
with business users to clarify issues
-
Work with
technical leads to develop and review
functional design documents
-
Work with
quality assurance specialist to verify
that the intended goals of the projects
are being met
-
Keep the
project documents up to date when the
details change
-
Document
and analyze the required information and
data
-
Participate with client and other IT
areas as appropriate throughout the
development, testing and installation
processes
-
Assist in
the design and implementation of a
detailed systems test plan to ensure an
accurate and effective product
-
Act as an
interface between business units,
technology teams and support teams
-
Research
and evaluate alternative solutions and
recommend the most efficient and cost
effective solution for the systems
design considering existing systems,
available technology, the capacity and
limitations of the equipment, operating
time and form of desired results

Perform
other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill

Analyst Job

years plus in writing IT related
business documents
-
Solid
Technical experience preferred
-
System test and User acceptance
testing skills
-
Experience/understanding of business
process reengineering and business
modeling concepts, business systems
analysis, application design and
development skills
-
Conceptual and practical
understanding of full project
lifecycle, ability to manage the
processes of requirements gathering,
analysis, testing, training, quality
assessment
-
Basic
understanding of the company's
business practices and familiarity
with the company's products and
services
-
Strong analytical skills and writing
skills, to include solid experience
in writing functional and technical
specifications.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Information Technology Business Analyst Job

College degree, or specialized
training or equivalent work
experience.
