Administrator Information Technology will
be responsible for managing and
providing hardware and software
maintenance, training and consultation,
and recommendations about future
planning and development of resources.

The
Administrator Information Technology will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
Manage and maintain Microsoft
Windows applications and systems
including but not limited to Windows
XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server
and Microsoft Exchange
Manage the acquisition, installation
and maintenance of the
organization’s local area network
hardware/software
Manage network operations to
include: troubleshooting
connectivity problems; installing &
maintaining routers;
adding/terminating users; assigning
rights and access; resetting
passwords; establishing e-mail
addresses; assessing and reporting
operational status; performing
backups and restores; etc.
Conduct technology orientation and
exit briefing for all staff; prepare
technology and systems for new and
exiting staff
Ensure technology
documents/certificates such as
product registrations, SSL
certificates, maintenance
agreements, service contracts, etc.
related to technology operations
and/or technology services are
evaluated, updated and processed
Implement, administrate and maintain
databases
Perform routine preventive
maintenance on hardware and software
Responsible for troubleshooting
workstations, networks, software
applications, phones, copiers and
other technologies
Manage technology inventory to
include procurement and disposal
Ensure compliance with all software
licensing agreements
Manage and safeguard software media
and associated licenses
Track
software versions
Maintain centralized software use
log
Ensure networks, workstations,
operating systems and software
applications are operational; ensure
hardware and software is patched
and/or updated; ensure all analog
and broadband circuits are
operational in accordance with
vendor specifications.

supporting VoIP telephony,
microcomputers and other systems;
system development, complex project
management
Knowledge of Nortel network
hardware, client/server technology,
Internet/intranets.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Administrator Information Technology Job
Bachelor's degree in computer
science, computer engineering,
electrical engineering or related
field and five years
management/leadership experience
Master's degree in computer science
or related field is preferred.
