Job Summary:
The
STEM Intern - Information Technology will be
responsible for providing part-time (20
hours a week) technical / collaboration
assistance to the Information Technology
department for 6 weeks with a Company
Manager. Technologies uses, experiences
had and problems resolved will be
presented at the conclusion of the
internship. The STEM internship program
also requires 5 hours a week of personal
and professional development which will
be connected to the state's benchmarks.
Job
Description:
The
STEM Intern - Information Technology will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Help
install new high tech collaboration
suites in the IT Department
-
Get
familiar with the technology, train
other employees in its use, and help to
troubleshoot any difficulties they may
have when first using the suites
-
Look into
other technologies and tools the company
has, such as Show and Share, Smart
Boards and Telepresence, to help
familiarize employees about their use
and possibilities
-
Work with
the computer depot team to distribute
new computers, fix broken assets, and
properly dispose of assets in addition
to other tasks
-
Encouraged to explore new trends in
technology and suggest possible
implementations for them.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word
and PowerPoint

Strong communication skills

Strong interest in pursuing an
Information Technology or Technology
fields after High School Graduation.
