IT - Xsan Administrator will be
responsible for managing several large
Xsan installations.Job
Description:
The
IT - Xsan Administrator will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Connect clients, configure Xserves,
Xserve RAIDs, Promise VTrak RAIDs,
QLogic switches and Xsan software -
Help
manage the data on these large Xsans
totaling over 600 TB in aggregate -
Performance optimization and
reliability testing of the various
Xsans -
Assist with server backups -
Provide more general Mac OS X Server
administration.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For IT - Xsan Administrator Job

2+
years Mac OS X Server administration
-
Experience with Xserves and Xserve
RAIDs/Promise RAIDs
-
Experience with fibre channel
networks
-
Comfortable using the command line,
Apple Remote Desktop and SSH
-
Excellent written and verbal
communication skills
-
1+
years Xsan administration
-
Experience with enterprise backup
software especially ATempo's Time
Navigator
-
Experience in C, Shell, or Perl
programming.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
IT - Xsan Administrator Job

Bachelor's degree or equivalent
experience.
