Job Summary:
The
IT Systems Engineer will administer a
suite of middleware integration software
tools and assist application developers
in their successful interaction with and
use of these solutions. He/She will
become a member of a team whose primary
responsibility is to provide system
administration for the suite of
application integration tools deployed
across multiple platforms including
WebSphere MQ, WebSphere Message Broker
and WebSphere Transformation Extender.
The
IT Systems Engineer will perform design,
development, testing and deployment of
message oriented middleware to deliver
highly available and reliable
application integration solutions.

The
IT Systems Engineer will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Perform installation and
customization of middleware tools to
achieve a robust, highly available
service -
Perform automation of configuration
activities -
Performance and workload monitoring -
Perform problem prevention or
resolution for the integration
software tools, Creation and
implementation of best practices and
procedures for the enterprise
interface environment -
Assist with long-term strategic
planning, 24 x 7 on-call support on
a rotational basis -
Provide application developer
support.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For IT Systems Engineer Job

Experience with WebSphere MQ,
WebSphere Message Broker, and / or
WebSphere Transformation Extender
-
Experience with and knowledge of
JMS, J2EE, web servers, and HL7
standards would be a plus
-
Knowledge of AIX, Windows, and Linux
would also be beneficial
-
Task-oriented, with well-developed
analytical and organizational skills

Self-motivated
-
Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work in both independent
and team environments.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For

Bachelor’s degree in computer
science, information systems,
engineering or related field
preferred

Master’s degree in a relevant
technical discipline helpful.
