Job Summary:
The
IT Systems Analyst Pharmacist will be responsible for
systems across multiple departments
system-wide. He/She will interact with
all levels of staff and management.

Description:
The
IT Systems Analyst Pharmacist will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Work with
facility staff, technical staff and
various committees to guide
implementation and maintenance of
clinical systems -
Responsible for pharmacy formulary
management -
Investigate, recommend and define
customization requirements including
screen designs, specifications,
reporting requirements, application
dictionaries, parameters, and tables -
Use
project planning tools and principals to
define implementation tasks including
equipment requirements, work flow
review, conversion and planning -
Determine
end-user system requirements and provide
written ROI analysis of proposed new
systems and modifications to existing
systems. This includes costs, benefits,
issues, and policy concerns. Requires
vendor interaction -
May
assist with RFP development -
Assure
that system documentation files for
applications exist by utilizing
sophisticated computer tools, vendor
supplied utilities and applications -
Assist
with development and coordination of
acceptance testing scenarios -
Support
educational and training requirements
for end user staff by coordinating
vendor training, scheduling and
developing formalized current competency
requirements -
May be
assigned to create data extracts and
support ad hoc report requirements
utilizing WEB development tools -
Perform
all functions according to established
policies, procedures, regulatory and
accreditation requirements, as well as
applicable professional standards -
Provide
all customers with an excellent service
experience by consistently demonstrating

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For IT Systems Analyst Pharmacist Job
-
Five
or more years of pharmacy
experience, including system
implementations in areas with
multiple application systems
-
Responsible for pharmacy formulary
management within clinical
information system
-
Demonstrate
knowledge of drug interactions and
dosage calculations
Expert with PC based productivity
tools (e.g. spreadsheets, word
processing, e-mail)
Familiar with WEB and mainframe
based application development tools
and other client server based
applications design
Effective human relations and
verbal/written communication skills
Analytical ability to support
decision making
Organizational ability to manage
multiple tasks and projects by
established deadlines
Pharmaceutical oncology experience
strongly preferred
Prior
experience in a CPOE environment
Clinical informatics experience
Cerner experience
Demonstrated understanding of the
interrelationships of company
systems.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
IT Systems Analyst Pharmacist Job

Degree in Pharmacy (advanced degree
preferred) from an accredited
College of Pharmacy
-
Pharmacy licensure in the state of
practice.
