IT Support Specialist Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for provide technical assistance and guidance to Gentex Information System users.  

Job Description:

The IT Support Specialist will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Install, modify and make repairs to user’s computer hardware and software.  

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For IT Support Specialist Job

  • Basic knowledge of PC and Mac hardware and software
  • Ability to dig deep into and solve technical issues
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks independently
  • High degree of customer service, a focus on providing timely and accurate solutions
  • Ability to lift PC components, and basic knowledge of computer networks, network based services, Oracle, and manufacturing systems
  • Experience in both office and manufacturing settings preferred
  • Ability to work well with the IT clients in a helpful manner and work closely with other members of the Information Systems Department.  

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For IT Support Specialist Job

  • Four year degree in a computer related field or two years support experience preferred.
