IT Project Manager - Healthcare Reform - Technology Enhancement Projects Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The IT Project Manager - Healthcare Reform - Technology Enhancement Projects will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives as a Senior Project Manager to coordinate and complete projects, define performance and results and manage vendors and service providers.

Job Description:

The IT Project Manager - Healthcare Reform - Technology Enhancement Projects will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Manage multiple projects or programs simultaneously in a matrix environment within the HC Reform program team

  • Provide subject matter expertise in areas including project management, project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on professional knowledge and background

  • Make presentations to management on project updates, project cycle, and expected results

  • Ensure projects are completed on time and in scope

  • May manage vendor and service providers to define project scope and performance expectations

  • Determine time frames, funding needs, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, allotment of resources to various phases of projects and lead others in the organization to make meaningful process improvements

  • Develop business plans and cost benefit analysis for assessment by Regional/Senior Leadership

  • Investigate non-standard requests and problems, make presentations to senior leadership, ensure project documentation is accurate and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.  

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For IT Project Manager - Healthcare Reform - Technology Enhancement Projects Job

  • Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships
  • 8 + years of experience within a large corporate environment
  • 5 + years of direct accountability as a Project Manager within that environment
  • Strong project management capabilities - ability to work with senior leaders ensuring project completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Financial acumen
  • Active pursuit of PMP (or equivalent industry recognized certification) or PMP status preferred
  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%
  • 5+ years of project management experience tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities. 

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For IT Project Manager - Healthcare Reform - Technology Enhancement Projects Job

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and/or equivalent education and experience preferred.
