Job Summary:
The
IT Project Manager - VDI will
be responsible for the successful design
and deployment of hosted virtual desktop
solutions for multiple Company
businesses globally. In this role,
He/She will be a member of a new and
exciting Platform Services team
chartered to develop new customer-facing
commercial, platform and hosted
applications. He/She will work closely
with the Company businesses and with the
technology verticals within GIS to
ensure business CTQs are aligned with
the VDI solutions.Job
Description:
The
IT Project Manager - VDI will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Lead and
manage one or more VDI projects as part
of the larger Company-wide VDI program
-
Serve as
primary interface with customers,
providing the level of expertise that
builds trust and confidence
-
Establish
project governance by clearly defining
the tools and procedures to plan and
track projects including cost, schedule,
quality and project progress
-
Ensure
that the customer and the technical
project team remain aligned throughout
the project
-
Proactively identify project issues and
risks, and work with the project team
for timely resolutions
-
Prepare
project communications and documentation
including executive briefings, project
tollgate deliverables, weekly status
reports, blog postings, etc.

Drive
business intimacy while seeking to find
and drive cross-business,
cross-functional synergies and best
practices.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill

3
years of project management
experience with a demonstrated
ability to drive projects based on
business strategies and customer
requirements
-
Experience with client computing
technologies, including hosted
virtual desktop technologies
-
Experienced in Process Design and
Improvement
-
Lean
Six Sigma Certification helpful (GE
Employees Only)
-
Strong track record of understanding
and interest in current and emerging
technologies demonstrated through
training, job experience and/or
industry activities
-
Strong team player – collaborate
well with others to solve problems
and actively incorporate input from
various sources

Demonstrated customer focus –
evaluate decisions through the eyes
of the customer; build strong
customer relationships and create
