Job Summary:
The
IT Project Group Manager will be
responsible for directly managing
multiple IT project leadership teams.
He/She will be responsible for all
technology components of the development
and implementation of
major/multiple/highly complex projects;
and may manage enterprise wide projects.

The IT
Project Group Manager will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Develop detailed IT work plans,
schedules, project estimates,
resource plans and status reports

Provide IT strategic direction for
projects managed
-
Set
guidelines for appropriate staffing
requirements to meet operational
needs
-
Impact the IT project leadership
function by strategic influence and
by exercising control over
resources, budget management and
planning; accountable for end
results
-
Evaluate subordinates' performance
and make decisions on pay increases,
hiring, terminations and other
personnel actions
-
Apply
in-depth understanding of concepts
and procedures within own area and
basic knowledge of other areas to
resolve issues that have impact
beyond own area
-
Ensure essential procedures are
followed and contributes to defining
standards
-
Provide evaluative judgment based on
analysis of factual information in
complicated, unique and dynamic
situations; draw on diverse range of
internal and external sources

Influence and negotiate with senior
leaders (across functions); may
communicate with external parties.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For IT Project Group Manager Job
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of
how IT project leadership integrates
within the overall technology function
to achieve objectives
Good
understanding of the industry
Senior
to advanced level experience in an IT
project leadership role with
commensurate experience in people
management
Excellent
communication skill
Ability
to negotiate and influence senior
leaders.
Minimum Education Requirements /
