Job Summary:
The
IT Program Director Clinical Information
System
will be responsible for leading a team
of technical, clinical, engagement,
training, and management staff members
to implement Cerner across all of the
hospitals of the Organization.
In the long-term, the IT Program
Director will go beyond the Cerner
Millennium implementation to include the
optimization of Cerner, the
implementation of related
enterprise-wide clinical, analytical and
reporting systems, as well as other
large scale clinical information system
implementations. Job

The IT
Program Director Clinical Information
System will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Work
closely with other Organization's clinical and
business leaders to address the
alignment of the strategic goals and
initiatives for the Organization
with effective information technology
program management capabilities

Report to the Chief
Information Officer in collaboration with the
Chief Medical Officer and Chief Quality
Officer.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For IT Program Director Clinical
Information System Job
Ten or more years of information
systems technology experience
Seven years experience
leading large scale clinical information
systems projects (Cerner Millennium
preferred)
Demonstrated leadership in
facilitating executive and senior level
business, clinical, information
technology groups within an
organization
Hands-on experience in developing and
implementing large scale systems based
on industry-established methodologies,
standards and best practices
Strong understanding of large scale
project management tools
Experience integrating strategic
business goals with technology/tools,
applying approaches that optimize
performance
Excellent verbal and written
communication skills
Ability
to explain
and document the integrated project
components to diverse audiences
(technical, business, etc) and drive
decisions through consensus
Demonstrated team player with results
oriented track record.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For IT Program

BS/MS degree or equivalent combination
of education and experience

BS/MS degree in computer science,
engineering, information systems or
related field preferred

Project Management Institute, Project
Management Professional (PMP)
Certification preferred.
