Job Summary:
The
IT Portfolio Manager
will be responsible for
providing Application Portfolio
Management (APM) performing the
following tasks: developing and
publishing IT strategy; prioritizing and
recommending allocation of IT resources,
program investments and enterprise
services to achieve the IT strategy and
managing IT portfolios to enable
applications and systems to deliver
required capabilities.Job
Description:
The IT
Portfolio Manager will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Conduct
IT investment binning; defining scoring
criteria, analyzing and selecting IT
investments; controlling IT investments;
and evaluating the portfolio’s
performance
-
Perform
analysis of the portfolios to identify
redundancies and gaps in collective
capabilities; balancing the portfolio
capability by recommending additional
investments or retirements; and
presenting assessments/recommendations
to the client’s IT governance bodies.

Skill For IT Portfolio Manager Job
Current
general knowledge of DoD information
technology systems and capabilities
APM experience advising client
IT governance bodies on Service
Oriented Architecture (SOA),
virtualization, cloud computing and
DISA enterprise service offerings
Understanding of
tenants of information assurance for
compliance with DIACAP
Experience monitoring/reporting IT
portfolio performance
Familiarity
with DoD business process
engineering, and experience
collaborating with diverse
stakeholders to drive consensus
Strong communication skills in a
team environment and superior
customer service skills
Familiarity with ProSight or
Primavera portfolio management tools
and SNaP-IT and DITPR reporting
tools are a definite plus
Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret
clearance.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For IT
Portfolio Manager Job
-
Master’s degree in Computer Science,
Computer or Electrical Engineering,
Management Information Systems, or a
related technical field from an
accredited institution, and seven
(7) years of experience
-
Bachelor’s degree and ten
(10) years of experience may be
substituted in lieu of the degree
requirement.
