The IT Business Intelligence Consultant will be responsible for providing technical consultancy in business intelligence and data integration software development.

Job Description:

• 2-5+ years of consulting experience related to software development (e.g. software development, integration, etc.) using data integration technologies and business skills (e.g. business analysis/process, etc.)
• 2+ years of design and development experience in data integration and business intelligence solutions
• Experience with complete SDLC lifecycle in this area, including but not limited to requirements gathering, data analysis, design, development, and QA
• Two end to end projects completed
• Has performed ETL Design, Development and Data Modeling activities on five or more projects
• Expertise with leading Extract Transform Load (ETL) tools (Informatica would be preferred)
• Experience with additional Business Intelligence tools from Cognos, Microstrategy or Microsoft preferred
• Knowledge of the inherent challenges for a Data Integration/Business Intelligence Implementation
• Experience with a Data Inegration/Business Intelligence Methodology
• Ability to work with IT and business personnel
• Ability to lead a team of 2-4 software developers from requirements to implementation
• Ability to accurately estimate the ETL and Data Architecture components of data integration and Business Intelligence Data Warehouse delivery projects
• Experience with projects and familiarity with terminologies in the financial services industry would be preferred
• Strong understanding of database design techniques on MS SQL Server, Oracle and DB2
• Strong conceptual thinking skills, creativity and flexibility
• Strong analytical, attention to detail, organizational and core project management skills
• Strong teamwork, communication and customer service skills.
